What is this?

Syam’s emergency lighting log book enables the manager of a premises to maintain a record of the monthly and annual emergency lighting tests that are required by law.

Why is this important?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all premises other than a domestic dwelling. A record of testing for the emergency lighting must be kept as one of the essential documents demanded by this law. Failure to keep a record of emergency lighting tests and maintenance is a criminal offence on the part of the individual responsible, normally the manager.

How long will the log book last?

This log book will record the monthly tests for 200 fittings for one year, for 100 fittings it can be used for two years and for 50 fittings, four years. For larger system use one log book per floor or area.
